Archline Pivot Drop Arm Awning

When you fit awnings to upstairs windows and doorways you need to be sure they can withstand any extremes of wind or weather. Our Drop Arm Awnings offer beautiful but highly weather-resistant solutions.

They are fitted externally around a window frame and consist of a retractable blind made from canvas, acrylic canvasor mesh fabric. This attaches to a frame with arms that pivot half way down the window.They are suitable for windows that face any direction and the way they work is rather ingenious.When the awning is partially extended, it provides protection from the overhead sun (north facing windows) yet retains a view to the outside. When the awning is fully extended it covers the entire window and provides protection from the sun at low angles (east or west). The lengths of the arms are approximately half the drop of the awning.

You can choose from manual operation with a gearbox or the added convenience of a fully motorised awning. The motor allows individual or group control over a number of windows simultaneously, so with a touch of a button you control the shade required. Theres even a timer function and climate sensor feature for added convenience.

Our Drop Arm awnings are available in maximum lengths of up to 4300mm projecting out to a maximum of 1200mm, and we always use industry leading quality Somfy or Becker motors and components.

Our Sun and Wind sensors provide continuous protection as the awning automatically extends in sun and retracts in high wind. You maintain a comfortable indoor temperature even when no one is around, so your cooling costs are reduced significantly. Theres an added security benefit too as the building always appears occupied. Wired and wireless options are also available.

Standard Hood is available in 8 colours;Arms are available in natural anodised – silver colour finish. Powder coating to custom finish is available.
